History of Tranquility Bay Resort in Belize
Tranquility Bay Resort is more than just a resort, it's a dream come true for several lifelong pals who were longtime visitors and friends of Belize. Their desire was to create a unique and very special resort to be enjoyed by their families, friends and guests. Their goal was also to preserve and protect the amazing environment and highlight the charm and character of the Belizian people. All of which, they succeeded in doing. The early adopted motto, "Where Dreams and Reality Become One" still rings true today.
Sun drenched and fringed with coconut palms, Ambergris Caye is the largest of Belize's over 200 Cayes. Only a stones throw from Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, the narrow Bacalar Chica channel, dug by the ancient Maya, separates it. Known as "La Isla Bonita", the island is filled with Caribbean charm. San Pedro, the main town, is a delightful blend of the Caribbean, with a touch of Mexico and a dash of old Key West. Sandy streets are lined with small hotels, boutiques, dive stores and a full menu of places to eat and drink.
